HISTORY

JETPACK©’s co-creation emerged through a collaboration between my thesis work in applying design as an approach to help entrepreneurs, Volta Collaborative and Savannah College of Art and Design. The toolkit first began to emerge in 2013 as a process roadmap for enabling startups and small business owners to create new ventures. Through many iterations and co-creation sessions with startups, non-profits, and community leaders JETPACK© emerged as an approach to better establish context and value around a business.

Now JETPACK lives on as four core stages with additional modules on various strategic approaches to help ventures better address where they are, where they want to go, and how to get there.

Design is as much a method of solving problems and discovering opportunity as it is building or creating. JETPACK© as a resource is intended to be an open source methodology for entrepreneurs to leverage and build into their process and capability. While the tools are simple, the process is strong and could not have been accomplished without the help of many individuals willing to put in the time.

CREATOR

I am a designer, entrepreneur, and researcher who has a deep love for design, technology, and enabling better experiences for consumers. My background has been in strategic planning, brand development, CX, design research and management. Over the course of my career I’ve worked with startups, SMEs, nonprofits and Fortune 500s to build brands, products and services, and craft transformative strategies through deep consumer insights. By using design as a lens to approach challenges and identify opportunities we can better develop offerings and value propositions that deliver on customer needs and desires in unique and consumer-focused ways.
